Illinois-based Abbott Laboratories, which has a facility in Worcester, reported a net earnings increase of 0.2 percent for the third quarter despite revenue growth of 14.4 percent.
The company’s net earnings for the quarter were $717 million, and its sales were $6.3 billion. U.S. sales were up 10 percent to $3.13 billion, and international sales were up 19 percent to $3.26 billion, the company said.
The company said the flat earnings growth was the result of acquisition-related charges of about $0.21 per share.
Abbott operates a bioresearch center and manufacturing facility at Research Drive in Worcester.
