Fresh off its acquisition of Shrewsbury forensic accounting firm McLaren & Associates CPAs, Westborough accounting firm AAFCPAs has added five partners to its leadership team.
The move brings the firm’s total number of partners to 52. The new partners are not replacing anyone, said Evan Zall, spokesman for AAFCPAs.
With 193 employees in Central Massachusetts and 367 companywide, AAFCPAs is the region’s largest accounting firm, according to data provided to the WBJ Research Department.
The new partners include two new hires and three promotions:

Before joining AAFCPAs, Lipof was president and CEO of Prince Lobel Strategic Advisors, the startup advisory arm of the Boston law firm, according to his LinkedIn profile.
- Lisa Whittemore joined AAFCPAs in October as a risk and internal audit leader specializing in governance and fraud risk. She is CEO of Boston advisory firm Riverway Risk Advisory, according to her LinkedIn profile.
- Enis Bezhani was promoted to partner after working as an advisor to charter schools, community development organizations, and nonprofits.
- Stacie Amaral Field was promoted to partner after serving as leader of AAFCPAs’ entrepreneurial tax and advisory practice.
