The AIM Mutual Insurance Cos. of Burlington has been assigned a financial strength rating of A by the AM Best Company.
The grade is an improvement from the A- the writer of worker’s compensation insurance writer previously earned.
AM Best also revised the company outlook from “positive” to “stable.”
The ratings were based on the 2006 financial results of the AIM Mutual Insurance Cos. and its members, which include the Associated Industries of Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Co., and its wholly owned subsidiary, the Associated Employers Insurance Co.
The employers insurance company was formed earlier this year, and received an A rating from AM Best as well.
Best said the company’s conservative practices, strict underwriting guidelines and AIM sponsorship helped the insurance companies to the A rating.
