Framingham-based TJX Cos. Inc. reported third quarter net income of $249 million on net sales of $4.7 billion.
For the same period last year, the company reported net income of $230 million on net sales of $4.5 billion. Compared to the same quarter last year, sales at the company’s 34 Bob’s Stores were down slightly, but were up at all of the off-price retailer’s other stores, which include MarMaxx, Winners/HomeSense, HomeGoods, TK Maxx, AJ Wright,TJ Maxx and Marshalls.
The company year-to-date earnings include $130 million in charges related to last winter’s widespread theft of private TJ Maxx customer credit card information.
