Marlborough-based data network company 3Com Corp. will convene and immediately adjourn its shareholders’ meeting scheduled for Friday.
The company said the adjournment would allow for more time to salvage a merger deal with Bain Capital Partners of Boston, which along with Huawei Technologies of China, is attempting to buy 3Com for $2 billion.
The deal was called off last month after the U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States raised national security concerns.
The company said it would hold a shareholders’ meeting at its Campus Drive headquarters March 21.
