Natick-based BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. reported that Herbert J. Zarkin, the company’s CEO, made $3.61 million in 2006.
Zarkin’s compensation packaged included a base salary of $625,691. The rest was made up of stock awards valued at $1.2 million, and stock option awards valued at $1.17 million, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
Zarkin, 68, has been a director of the company since 1996, chairman of the board since 1997, and CEO since February.
The company is scheduled to hold its annual shareholders meeting in Natick on May 24.
