2016 Best of Business

A national study is seeking to calculate the economic impact of cultural and arts events such as performances at Mechanics Hall in Worcester.

It is a question I ask myself almost every day around midday, “Where am I going for lunch?”

Being relatively new to Central Massachusetts and with a myriad of options just steps from the Worcester Business Journal office, this is a problem I am solving one meal at a time.

This issue's Best of Business Awards seeks to answer that same type of question, only asked in 44 different ways: “Where should I take clients for dinner?” “What accounting firm should I use?” “Where should I make my next fleet purchase?” “Who can solve my electrical problem?” By listing all the winners in the following pages, we hope to create a handy guide for our audience to answer the simple and not-so-simple questions facing businesses every day.

The WBJ Best of Business Awards winners – as selected by nearly 1,800 readers in an online survey – stand apart from their competition in their own unique ways, whether it be customer service, outstanding products, long-time support, smart pricing or a combination of all of the above and more. Some of them have won their respective categories all three years WBJ has given the awards.

This guide is meant to be a starting point. Just like my appetite for what I want for lunch every day changes, we understand each and every organization has different food/venue/multimedia/office/client/employee/professional needs and every Best of Business winner might not be the best for your business. Yet, as your peruse these pages, know that these honorees have been picked because they are well regarded in the market by large groups of people.
