Worcester Business Journal is currently expanding its sales team!

Senior Account Executive:
Worcester Business Journal, the established source for business news in Central MA
for over 35 years, is looking for a full time Senior Account Executive with at least 3 years
of B2B sales experience. The role will be focused on building and securing new business clients through prospecting, networking and relationship-building.

We are seeking a candidate who is excited about developing new business
relationships, and able to work with businesses at all levels of their organization – from
owners to marketing directors. Our ideal candidate can execute successful sales
strategies across multiple platforms, prospect for new business and deliver excellent
follow-up to their prospects and clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Grow and develop a book of business by identifying new opportunities through
    prospecting, networking and relationship-building.
  • Provide exemplary service through productive, professional relationships with
    key personnel while maintaining an in-depth understanding of each client’s
    marketing and advertising objectives.
  • Ability to use, record and manage all customer communications through the CRM
    system.
  • Ability to work enthusiastically and independently to reach all assigned sales
    goals as assigned by the Publisher.
  • Conducts individualized in-person sales presentations and proposals.
  • Closing sales and achieving sales goals.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Office/Google Suite, CRM).
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism.
