In the two years since founding Enlightened Interventions in 2014, Belliveau has grown the small private practice to a full-scale wellness center offering comprehensive services for yoga, counseling and massage, serving more than 300 people weekly. In 2015, Union Street Yoga was opened as an extension of the center, offering yoga classes and workshops.
Belliveau is site coordinator for Bay Path University’s masters in mental health counseling program, on the faculty at Mount Wachusett Community College, and on the board for the Rise Above Foundation.
What is your main professional goal? Helping the community access yoga as a clinical intervention.
Who gave you the best career advice? In undergrad at Holy Cross, I had a mentor tell me, “Smarts build jobs, but hearts build careers.” I picked a career built out of my heart.
The people I work with would tell you I am… fun but fierce, a fighter, a mix of ambition and a dreamer, and still not afraid to get dirty.
Why do you work in Central Massachusetts? I went to college here, and this community built my career. I feel loyalty to the people of the city.
