A two-floor, 30,000 square-foot construction project at Mercantile Center has been completed for tenant Nationwide Insurance, allowing the organization to consolidate its workforce to the third and fourth floors.
The completion of the work at 120 Front St. was announced by Vantage Builders, which had been hired by the buildings owners Franklin Realty Advisors. The two-phase project allowed for zero downtime, according to a release from Vantage, as work was first completed on the third floor and then the fourth. The work included complete interior demolition, new flooring and ceilings, custom millwork, electrical and HVAC work.
Almost 200 workstations and 18 conference rooms were added to the two floors, according to Vantage, while a 120-seat training facility and auditorium was created on the third floor.
The architect for the project was Gregory J. O’Connor Associates, Inc. Engineering services were provided by Prater Engineering Associates.
