Birthplace: Stoneham
Residence: Jamaica Plain
High School: Burlington High School
Colleges and degrees earned:
Bachelor’s degree, Suffolk University; master’s degree, Northeastern University
Career highlights: Being a part of Marlborough's economic turnaround over the last two years. We, as a team, brought some of the largest employers in the commonwealth to the city, dropping the office vacancy rate by at least 12 percentage points. This translates into more than 1.2 million square feet of positive absorption.
Community involvement: Most of my community involvement stems from when I was a Rotarian in Burlington … I enjoy community service, and a particular event that comes to mind is the Thanksgiving Dinner giveaway, where we would give out complete Thanksgiving dinners the weekend before the holiday to families who needed a little assistance.
Ultimate career goal: To pursue municipal management at a higher level or go into real estate development.
Non-relatives you admire most: Bob Buckley, Bob Mercier and Charles Murphy.
Favorite book: “The Count of Monte Cristo,” by Alexander Dumas
“If I were to win $1 million in the lottery, I would … pay off my student loans.”
