Birthplace: Hanover, N.H.
Residence: Worcester
High school: Oxbow Union High School, Bradford, Vt.
Colleges and degrees earned: B.A. and M.A., Clark University
Career highlights: Helping grow an organization, now working in nine low-resource, post-crisis countries, that addresses access to health care, education and economic development. The greatest joys come from working with some of the most innovative and resourceful entrepreneurs from around the world to help individuals and families pursue happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.
Community involvement: Supporting local efforts to enhance community and grow Worcester's arts, culture and creative development. As a co-founder of Airspray, collaborative partner of Chickpea, and volunteer for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, I strive to spend time each week engaging in making our local and global community a more connected and healthy place.
Ultimate career goal: To one day confidently look back on a fulfilling life of being useful and compassionate.
Non-relative you admire most: Amy Goodman of Democracy Now!
Favorite book: “New News out of Africa,” by Charlene Hunter-Gault
Hidden talents: Growing up in Vermont greatly influenced my love of nature. Whether it's hiking, rock climbing, skiing, or running, any hidden talent would lie in my passion for adventure and the elements.
“If I were to win $1 million in the lottery, I would … only hope to be mindful that with great privilege comes great responsibility.”
