Birthplace: Worcester
Residence: Worcester
High school: Doherty Memorial High School
Colleges and degrees earned: B.A., Dean College
Career highlights: From 2004 to 2006, I was a member of the She Figure Dance Company, performing throughout Eastern Massachusetts. I taught at Charlotte Klein Dance Centers for 14 years before taking ownership. I have won national awards for my choreography and have trained and choreographed for many dancers who are now dancing in New York and Los Angeles, and on cruise lines.
Community involvement: I have long been a supporter of Why Me, Inc. and Sherry's House. I'm also an active board member of Dance Master of New England, a nonprofit that certifies dance teachers.
Ultimate career goal: Expand studio offerings and add a third location.
Non-relative you admire most: Charlotte Klein, who encouraged me throughout my dance career.
Favorite book: “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West,” by Gregory Maguire
Hidden talents: It's an odd talent, but I can raise one eyebrow and wiggle my ears simultaneously.
“If I were to win $1 million in the lottery, I would … donate a portion of the money to a local charity, then I would set up college funds for my three children.”
