Career highlights: I have been on a swift promotion trajectory, most recently named regional manager for new technology, which has proven to be a successful revenue stream for the company. At the request of the CEO, I created and implemented innovative on-boarding and service training, resulting in the highest new employee engagement in the company and program adoption throughout the corporation. I have also spearheaded a number of fun projects, including writing the lyrics, choreographing and then coordinating a hand-washing flash mob that can now be seen on YouTube and has had well over 50,000 views.
Community involvement: My community involvement is centered on the award-winning Natick High School Speech and Debate team. I am an alumnus of the program; two years after I graduated I went back to help out and have been coaching since. It is an amazing activity that helps students gain self-confidence and a new level of self-awareness, learn speaking and leadership skills; and enables them express themselves powerfully through the spoken word.
Biggest success: My biggest success is doing what I love, working with people I admire and respect, and being able to make a difference in small and large ways. Personally, my biggest success is trying to live every day with joy. More importantly, I try to share it with others.
Biggest challenge: I took a less-traditional route when completing my undergraduate degree. Balancing my academic course load, my involvement with the speech and debate team and my full-time job was a struggle, but well worth it. It was also challenging when my role changed from a hospital-based position to a regional one, requiring my team and I to maintain the same level of service for multiple hospitals and also to learn quickly about the new facilities.
Mentors: Sarah Donnelly and Stephanie Guidetti are the two women at the top of that list. They are smart, strong and successful women who have both been enormous influences, guiding me through academic, professional and personal challenges, and they have been my strongest supporters through it all.
Hidden talents: Over the last few years I have developed a love of photography. Any chance I get to take photos of people, places and things, I’m there with my camera, snapping away. I also love musical theater, karaoke and any chance to be on stage.
