The Life Sciences Industry has seen incredible growth the last decade, and Massachusetts has become a worldwide leader with continued industry growth and expansion underway. While the epicenter of the industry cluster remains in Kendall Square, the state’s strategy calls for the expansion of lab and manufacturing space throughout the state, with the potential for significant growth in Central MA. Worcester, Marlboro and Devens are already well positioned with leading life science companies in their backyard, while other communities in the region are looking to capitalize on the industry’s westward movement. The advantages for companies to expand in Central Massachusetts are significant, including lower cost of land and facilities and access to more affordable housing for employees.
Join us for this special forum featuring our keynote speaker, Secretary Yvonne Hao of the Executive Office of Economic Development, along with a panel of industry leaders who will discuss the opportunities and impediments to growth they have experienced in Central MA/MetroWest. We’ll also discuss the effect of industry clusters of research and resources, and how that can help recruit life science companies and provide fertile soil for their growth in Central MA.

While all businesses want to lower their energy costs, there has never been a stronger imperative than today for greater efficiency and a move to greener energy. Legislative changes, along with a combination of state and federal incentives are helping businesses lower the ROI on energy efficiency projects and reduce their carbon footprint.
This timely event produced by the Worcester Business Journal in partnership with National Grid will offer a number of speakers and panels aimed at helping businesses, nonprofits, municipalities and consumers understand their energy options. We’ll delve into how the market works and where the incentives and resources are to help them become more efficient while transforming their energy usage.
The annual Massachusetts Energy Summit will help top executives understand where the market is heading, how to best evaluate their options and move to more renewables.
Don’t miss this timely forum - perfect for businesses looking to learn more about their many options!
